PROJECT HINT #110

Once the old premises is packed, staff will be in the way of the removalists. Corporate removalists use a high labour load to swiftly “break the back” of the move. Boxes, frenetic labourers and bored staff are a bad combination. If the relocation is during a working day and staff are not sent home, consider having a relocation party off site or it may be a useful time for a management seminar.

PROJECT HINT #111

Relocating your fridge? Allocate someone to clear and clean it out the day before and turn off (for thawing out). Do not turn the fridge on immediately after the move - allow a day for the gas and oil to settle into the compressor – especially if the fridge was turned on its side.

PROJECT HINT #112

Is your photocopier leased? Contact the supplier to check move requirements. Most suppliers will not let removalists shift their equipment - doing so can void your warranty, risks damage and can lead to setup issues if the equipment is networked to your data systems.
